chlorine filter recommendations
« on: March 19, 2014, 10:47:54 AM »
I am in the market for a chlorine filter to attach the hose to so my seedlings and other trees won't be affected by the chlorine (and other harmful elements).  Anyone have a good one to recommend that is fairly inexpensive?

Thanks
~Jeff

It may be worth having your water tested to make sure that you need to get a filter.

Try this Gunnar i have been using this for the last year (just ordered another) and got it yesterday. Little pricey but it works great for me here in Phoenix. You get a replacement filter when you order the whole filter for $89+ SHIPPING. Filters up to 25,000 Gal.
Along with this i also attach a filter (really a misting filter)  to  minimize hard water / sediments  so i have 2 filters on one hose I use the filters to water all my tropicals ... mangoes / guavas (my babies only get the best) ;D  the native trees do not get this
BMS water filter on Amazon ;) . I am really pleased with the results so far in a year no leaf burn / death by Chlorine / chloramime crappy water.
Hope this helps. Mike

I have been using the Rain Shower one for 3 to 4 years with great results. My got busted this winter in the freeze so just recently replaced it. They will last longer if you back washed every 4 to 5 months.

Try Pinch A Penney pool store. Usually if you are on a City water system you will have chlorine in your water. But most pool places test water for free.

No problem!

My White jaboticabas really grow better when watered filtering out the chlorine!

Good Luck!

I haven't tasted yet but I have a plant that should be fruiting soon! It's one of my favorite Jaboticabas just because of the ornamental leaves! I hear its one of the sweeter fruits!
