He asked me to post. The "e-mail me my password" doesn't seem to be working for him either. Anyone know how to fix it?

At least 2 other people on a recent thread are also having a similar problem:

"Aloha this is Micah I had to create a new account cause I forgot my password. I've tried to go through the steps to reset my password...but to no avail.
Im in Thailand and was hanging out with Lindsay Gasik aka durianwriter.  She's hoping the administration can shoot her an email so she can login to her account. She also has been through the steps for resetting password but got rejected.
Her knowledge is much appreciated on this forum...hopefully one of y'all can help.

Many websites require arcane password rules and it's impossible to remember them all, what I do is create a text password file with "obfuscated" passwords on my PC and mobile devices like this...

Say my password for this forum is "Sugar123987" my line entry for the TFF might look like:

Tropical fruit forum username = myusername (username not obfuscated)  password = 'Sweetstuff+annie+numbers" or "Sweetstuff+!+123987=annie"

Putting the + or = and something irrelevant like "annie" makes decoding it not very likely. If you use special characters like the ! above ALWAYS use the same ones on every site.

This way I have a memory jog, plus case sensitivity and special characters recorded. Now if you forget your username and password memory joggers, you're out of luck.

Patrick, could the password reset email have gone to the junk mail folder?

I'll request a reset email to see if it comes. It's been happening enough times recently that something's probably not working.

For remembering password, I personally use the lastpass browser plugin. Other people might use 1password or something similar.

i did find my original password last week it worked for 2 days only then locked out again, Is there a admin. person that i can contact that can help with this??               Patrick

Try using a different browser. I got locked out w Firefox and am using chrome now.

i have tried both chrome and aol also tried contacting one of our admins no word back yet

IF the password is still the same
(and password reset didnt change it)
then, you should be able to go into chrome and get it.

go to "settings"
at the bottom click "advanced settings"
and "Manage passwords"

(try this...)
chrome://settings/passwords

in "search" - type in the word "tropical"
highlight your email or username, and hit "show"
