Title: Goat Milk and Mabolo
Post by: FlyingFoxFruits on December 03, 2012, 02:27:54 PM
Just peel and remove seeds from mabolo, and blend with goat milk.

About 1.5 cup of milk per 1 cup of fruit is how we make 'em by me.

You won't need to eat anything else for breakfast.

Add cinnamon, canistel, for the holidays...it will give it that eggnog twang for the season.

Cheers

Mabolos I've eaten were strong tasting like a stringy Banana cheese.

they work for my tastes, but not all!

also goat milk isn't a must, any good milk is fine.

I prefer goat milk to regular milk. I like the unique slightly sour taste, also like the varied taste depending on goats. Easier on the stomach as well, I get sour stomach now with to much cow milk.

I wish I could like mabolo, since the tree bears so heavily.  I will try this mixture.  When I imagine the 2 flavours; goat milk and mabolo, and I think about drinking it, it seems like it might be OK.  Thanks for posting.
The observation of Belizian Mennonites is that people who eat mabolo from childhood like it, but few develop a liking for it when encountering it for the first time as an adult.  How old were you when you made mabolo's acquaintance?
