Seedling is quite old. From rtreid i believe germinated around the same time as the first yangmei group order. I put it in the ground feb 2016. The first fruit was nice, not as good as biqi itself but might get better. Was leaving others on but found two dropped or knocked off today. Fruit was a bit worse. No zing. Just picked the last and its lemony right off the tree. I think ill be happy with it. Kevin N also grafted two male branches on this year so crossing fingers for next year!

I didn't have any difference in bushiness between male and female but the female grew about 3x faster than the male. Doubt that was a sex difference.

Got female again and one male this year. 3 eye confirmed. But didnt overlap with female so no fruit.

Ive got 4 in the ground on top of a slope that survived though mostly defoliated. One in a pot on ground level didnt make it. Have had them for 6-8 years. None have flowered yet. Botanical garden has some very old trees (or tree?). Have never fruited. Someone will eventually succeed but prepare for a decade of nothing.

Papaya not a good test case. Citrus, white sapote loquat, mulberry, sweet java plum, guava all do well in my clay.

One of the cross streets just south of whiteys bait and tackle (river oaks?) has a house with several mango trees. I understood from the owner they fruit just fine but wildlife gets most of it.

Many charitable organizations allow you to specify what your donations are or are not to be used for. Try that. Obviously doesnt apply to membership fees.
