Jakfruit with weird leaves
« on: November 14, 2014, 02:23:16 PM »
Ok, so I have several jakfruit that I grew from seed.
The current batch all came from the same delicious, crunchy fruit.  They all have normal-looking leaves, except for this one.
It seems perfectly healthy other than the leave shape.

Is it a new or known variation?
A virus?
Aliens?

If you do a search on the forum for jackfruit leaves you will see the leaves are normal.

That is common shape of marang leaves. But it's really tricky with artocarpus to identify by leaf shape because there is incredible variation, especially in juvenille plants.

Oops!
I guess I should have checked up on my original string from months ago, and I would have seen more answers.
