Sounds like two good choices for South Florida. You maybe you would want to consider Super Hass to give you a little bit of that Cali cado rich nutty flavor. Another option would be to graft Super Hass onto the Catalina since they are both early.
Anyone know what WI/WI hybrid varieties they sell as fruit in Walmart? Sometimes country of origin is US, sometimes Dominican Republic. Just wondering if they’d be decent rootstock for wet spots in my forest. Thanks

You maybe thinking about choquette avocado at is a hybrid of a Guatemalan and West Indian types with flower type A . Pretty good fruit quality
If planting 2 trees, I've been thinking that Catalina and Monroe would be an outstanding combination. They even have the Types A/B thing going for them. Can anyone think of a better one? Do they both grow straight up, or do they have some width?

I don't know but it was SHIT! No flavor, watery. Bought it for the seed, rootstock.My Reeds have me spoiled. Been hanging for 18 months - rich.
