Thanks. Good Point, it has been pretty windy here. Maybe bad timing with the tender leaves.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / The a- hemp products
« Last post by LarryDeady on Today at 03:46:48 PM »
Fatiguing hemp products has been quite the journey. As someone pointed on natural remedies, delving into the coterie of hemp has been eye-opening. From  https://www.nothingbuthemp.net/online-store/THC-EDIBLES-c133547252  to hemp seeds and protein competency, I've explored a type of goods. Teeth of the confusion surrounding hemp, researching and consulting experts receive helped navigate this burgeoning field. Inclusive, my sophistication with hemp has been despotic, contribution holistic well-being solutions and sustainable choices.

I've heard that coffee grounds can help. I don't drink coffee, but maybe I'll buy a cheap coffee maker just for my garden.

They are different in growth habit, and fruit. I have striatulum, I like it, good fruit with stinky guava flavor and soft flesh. It's definitely guajava-esque, but a more robust flavor which I am into. Other people have gotten bad genetics or something and say the fruit tastes bad. I count myself lucky.

The nano-leaf looks like guajava style fruit with some tiny leaves.

The "nana" looks like a dwarf guajava with standard leaves but small port.

So they're all different. Thanks for the clarification, K-Rimes. Do you happen to know if any of these are graft compatible with the typical guava?

Tropical Vegetables and Other Edibles / Re: Sweet Potato

Anybody know how much shade sweet potato plants can tolerate in a a high UV tropical location (I'm in the Yucatan)?

I have high UV, although not tropical. All day sun is ideal in my experience.

An update: The Karp's Sweet has produced several little fruit druplets, but I fear they may drop off.
That type of thing seems to often happen when the tree does not have enough vigor due to lack of previous winter chill.

Meanwhile the Passe Crassane tree seems to be growing very well in its zone 10 climate, which I feel is notable for a European pear.

Edit as of the start of July:
Another update: There are now two fruits on the Karp's Sweet. Each is only about the size of a tangerine now.
So what was your verdict on Karp's Sweet?

Very few fruits here in SB county, even on the most reliable and productive trees there are only a scant few racks of loquat on them. Very strange. I hear the same for almost all of SoCal.
