Title: Hand pollination sapodilla
Post by: Shobha on June 26, 2020, 02:38:55 PM
Can pollen from the same flower be used on stigma of the same? I used the tweezers to do the same.

just lightly squeeze barely open flowers twice, with a little roll/wiggle. top-bottom, and left-right.

then, dance around your yard...

That first part is a serious suggestion right? does that work?

your dancing wasn't good enough?

Have you tried the rotten fruit technique? Just dump your kitchen compost bowl, fallen fruit, banana peels, etc around the base of your tree to attract fruit flies and male mosquito pollinators. This *seems* to work on my green sapote which has similarly shaped flowers.
