I have been in love with growing breadfruit for about 15 years now, but as we know, it's just not hardy enough to grow well, on the mainland of North America.   Bottom line: My trees survive but just barely.   On the other hand, my jakfruit is loving its life here in Zone 10-B.  Since it is a good ten degrees F. hardier than is its ultratropical relative, the Artocarpus altilis, I was wondering if any hybridization has successfully garnered a breadfruit that has the hardiness of the jakfruit?   If that was accomplished, then this unique hybrid breadfruit would probably grow well, and bear fruit, possibly even in the Zone 10 areas of Florida, and not just in the lower Keys (which is probably Zone 11-B at Key West.)  Any information at all would be much welcomed! :)
