anacahuita first flowers

Blepharocalyx salicifolius... the smell of the flowers is very good (similar to blackberries flowers), but I dont believe that the fruit would be good (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blepharocalyx_salicifolius)... I will be reporting

The one I have had already flowered several times but no fruit yet.

If my memory doesn't fail me, there is an arrayan (AKA aranchuita) tree at the Hilo experiment station. As i recall the fruits tasted like a very sour guava.

oh... I hope yours and mine fruit soon;

sour guava? there is a very little chance that our tree tastes better, as there is some people on the net reporting that the taste is good
