Shade tolerant mango?

I have a seedling I’d like to top work and it doesn’t get full sun until around 2pm. Neighbors trees... Are there mango varieties that work better than others in partial shade?

They are really trees adapted to open spaces even savannahs. Growing in shade they become spindly with few side branches and mainly vertical growth. Probably not a good choice.

My trees that are more shaded do not produce as well as those receiving more hours of direct sunlight.

Still worth it to me to have extra mangoes of desired varieties growing in semi-shade, even though some of the growing space and production is not optimal.

How many hours of direct sunlight does this location get?  Probably wouldn't develop as much sugar also.

i dont think any mango variety will do well in shade. They will survive and if they receive some sun they will even grow well. The only problem with planting fruit trees in shade is fruit production. It could be limited

The mangoes (Coco Cream, Kesar, NDM4, Venus)  in mostly shade have been quite good. just low production thus far. Trees are small/young and not in ground long (2 years). Except for NDM4, which has been in ground since spring 2016. It produced only 1 mango this year, but is busting out new growth, and Orange Sherbet and Maha grafts are going nuts. Pretty sure it will produce well next year. Let's see
