California donut nectarine tree under assault from woodpeckers
« on: September 16, 2020, 06:41:08 AM »
Is there any method that can be used to deter woodpeckers from assaulting nectarine tree in California?

My brother in California ask for advice. The only thing I could give him was stop drinking tequila and playing with firearms LOL ;D

Especially at the same time.  Someone other than the woodpecker could get hurt.

Time has a way of mellow people out. I think the strongest thing that he takes a shot of now is liquid Geritol :) He claims he would take our Florida squirrel problem over his woodpecker and gopher problem >:(

You can shoot the woodpeckers, other than that good luck.

Not evil.  All God's creatures, even though I'm also not fond of iguanas, pythons, mosquitoes, and ticks.

The tree looks old to me, I guess there are some kind of critters in the bark that the peckers are after.....just a suggestion ...

Yes I agree, just was making a joke...a bad one :( . I haven't killed a single squirrel, gopher, or woodpecker in my entire life. The only intentional things I would kill are mosquitoes when they bite me and any bug that is biting/ attacking me. I leave them alone and they leave me alone especially since they have lived on earth long before me. my bad.
