hi all. I have again available some garcinia dulcis seeds. here's my video of the tree from a few years ago in case you don't know what this fruit is. https://youtu.be/tDu2ZuohAtI

postage probably about $15 per up to 20 seeds. $ 2.50 AU per seed

The tree and fruit in the video is G.xanthocymus and not G.dulcis.

I have had similar opinions put forward before however all accounts of xanthocymus I have read and heard are of a particularly sour fruit not readily eaten from hand. this fruit is not that. it is very delicious with plenty of sweet to balance the sour. excellent sweet sour mix

The seeds i bought from you have sprouted and are doing well.
One of the easiest Garcinias I have to ID due to the pinkish petiole

Xanthochymus varies from very sour to sour/sweet and are large and often have a point and dulcis varies from sweet to sour/sweet and are a bit smaller. The fruit in the pic there looks more like dulcis.The trees are different. I am still not sure if the Russell sweet is a divergent form of dulcis.

I am yet to figure out what cochinchinensis in south America really is.

The fruit in the 'youtube Video, has a point to the side, which is characteristic of xanthochymus. Also the leaves are long like xanthochymus. Does dulcis have a point to the side? I have a dulcis plant, about 3' tall, which does not have long leaves.

I notice you say you are subtropical. How cold has that plant got? I live in 9b and was
hoping it could handle 30F?

thanks mike for the info. one of the trees i know of is in the mountians around here. its in full shade and pproduces lots of fruit. temps go down to about 5 celcius in the winter. its a very healthy tree.

This is my G.xanthochymus seedling. It has pink petioles.
