Banana seeds are tough.
« on: September 14, 2018, 05:39:51 AM »
In 2007, I bought seeds of Musa X sikkimensis "Daj Giant", Ensete glaucum and Musa violacea, some of them I sowed and the rest put in the drawer.
One ensete plant in 2008 from those seeds.:

This year, I decided to clean the drawer  and because I did not want to simply throw old banana seeds to bin I sowed them here and there in pots with plants and....
voilą : After 11 years in drawer.

I don't want to criticize, but you banana suffers.
From the picture I can see it is undernourished and has salt build up from tap water.
Do the the plant a favour change the potting soil, the roots are bound for sure.
A banana rhizome should last 5-6 years in a pot after which it should be started over from new pups.

Very nice decorative banana plant for inside your house. I suppose it gets outside during the warm months.
