Avocados flowering in December?

All of my trees are starting to bloom 

Im afraid a cold snap will come and ruin this years fruit set.  Is this normal or am I in trouble?

Are you using a lot of Nitrogen? Some times that will push early flowering

They got a lot but I cut them off back in August.

Spaugh,  when should we allow avacado to flower here in San Diego?

Normal. Some Avocados start flower in September

Ok, good news.  They all appear to be ready to start flowering.  The pinkerton trees are flushing a lot of new growth also.  Went down to my trees this morning with Santas little helper and picked a few avocados.  We have been eating stuarts for a month or so now and they are excellent.  Today we picked a Sir Prize and a Pinkerton to try.  Not sure they are ready yet but we will see.
