Many fruit stores in Westminster and Garden Grove (in Orange County, California) are selling atemoya fruits for $15/lb.  A friend of mine has 2 big atemoya trees which have a lot of fruits. He sold his extra fruits to these stores for $9/lb.

Tan, I'll sell my extra anonas for $9lb😀
Those gefner look beautiful but they are not worth $1lb
Anonas are a highly sought after commodity that demand big bucks
Look at these KP & Lessard I bought in El palacio de Los jugos in Miami for $8
They taste like brasso what a ripoff

Hi Frank,
I think the price of atemoya is rising since demand is higher than supply. Two years ago, the price of Australian atemoya at fruit stores in Orange County was about $10-$12/lb, and it is $14-$15/lb now.
BTY, my friend's atemoya fruits look exactly the same as the fruits in your 1st photo (he doesn't know its variety name, he just knows it is an Australian atemoya).

The venders in Westminster sell that
Choochie Island as Australian Atemoya the funny thing is that variety is unknown outside of California. I wonder if they mean Marroydore Gold??

I could have sold mine too, but the fruits didn't get past my hungry mouth.

Good for you newgen.  I don't think I can let that deliciousness get away from my mouth either.  When did you pollinate to have fruit now? I did mine late this year in August so my fruits are still very small.

Hi,
I did  the hand pollination some time  in the middle  of  summer, July-Aug. They were fragrant and delicious!
Thanks,
