Hi, my rollinia is doing the same thing. I also went to Fruitscapes nursery in Pineisland and their Rollinias were also doing the same thing. Although it seems that my older leaves are now becoming more normal looking and the newer leaves look like that for sometime before they turn normal. So I am assuming that it is just the plant natural process of sending out the leaves. I hope thats the case!

Thanks for the reply! I'm glad that I'm not the only one, I guess. Does yours also have the jagged edges on the leaves?

I am not sure what would consistently make those jagged edges and missing leaf tips on fully expanded new leaves.

Wind damage at still-tender stage?

Something nibbling?

Fertilization with urea, when the plant can't make enough urease (due to deficiency of Nickel)?

My Rollinia was just put in the ground the first week of February. It was mostly denuded of leaves, and has flushed out nicely but, some leaves are showing the same issue. Right now I'm not concerned and will wait and see since others are having similar issues.

Seems reasonable. Hopefully it's normal.
