When is it Safe to Stop Spraying Mangos to Control PM
« on: April 20, 2021, 01:18:58 PM »
This year I began applying foliar sulfur to my flowering mangos and it seems to have been beneficial.  Information online is hard to come by on when exactly to stop spraying outside of a generic "fruit set."  The fruit on some of my trees is in the pea stage and I was wondering if that is far enough along that spraying for PM is no longer necessary.

I think when the mango flowers are all dried or when weather is in upper 70 to 80F,  then it's safe to stop the treatment. I just manually strip all of the dried flowers to let the fruits carrying stems expose to open air, and this seems to stop the PM infestation.

Will Kocide 3000 be good to use  while mangos starting to flower?  I bought it for root pruning purposes.
