Title: Is this a Nitidulidae Beetle in my Cherimoya Flower?
Post by: John B on June 09, 2021, 11:55:41 PM
Wasn't quite sure if this was a beneficial Nitidulidae beetle that was in my Cherimoya Flower. I was collecting pollen and he fell off into the jar with the petal.

Thanks in advance.

Although I am not an entomologist, it looks like the little beetles that pollenate our anona flowers here in Florida. So, yes--I think.

Thanks, I think it is too. Not too many pictures of these buggers when you google them. I don't like killing any insect on my plants unless I can verify they are a pest.
