Things To Remember When Pruning
« on: November 25, 2020, 03:11:47 PM »
Vertical branches or vertical flushes are very vigorous with a lot of vegetative growth. Horizontal branches (up to 45°) produce most of the fruit and most of the quality. Weaker branches toward the bottom of the tree tend to produce less fruit and are more susceptible to disease.

Thanks!
Your timing of this advice is perfect (she says, pruners in hand...)!

Thanks you for the helpful info Millet.  I am going to prune them after I harvest all the fruits.

Just to add some.
Pruning time also matters. Done during the cold, before the spring it will lead to a more vigorous growth.
Key lime is an exception, flowers will be on the new growth.
