Does cherry graft onto peach rootstock? What about a nectaplum?

I am also wondering if they can be grafted the other way around , like peach or nectarine grafted on cherry rootstock . .

I have done some reading on this in the past. What I recall is that this combination tends to have major incompatibility issues. Unless of course you are talking about Nanking Cherry (prunus tomentosa) which has been grafted on wild peach rootstock in China for thousands of years. I believe that there has been some success with specific cultivars of cherry plum (prunus cerasifera) as cherry rootstock. It could possibly be used as an interstem if the correct cultivars were selected for rootstock, interstock, and final scion. But it was my understanding that typically the cultivars that have high levels of compatibility with cherry have low levels of compatibility with peach, so you might end up with several interstocks.

Here is the link to the article that I had read regarding cherry plum or myroblan plum compatibility with peach and cherry.
The specific cultivar used was Adara (apparently it is also known as Puente or Puentea). It looks like this particular cultivar is compatible with many peaches and cherries.

Most likely possible but the chance of long term success is low...
Cheers!

For those in Europe who are interested, I can provide them with it.
And I can affirm the success of the grafting.
