Dr. Hanna introduced this variety. Is anymore information known about the background of this plant? It fruited for me the first time last year. The fruit is good tasting. It was protected in the ground so I do not know the hardiness. Is Pink Frost irradiated, or just renamed? How hardy is it?
"Bruce™ grapefruit is similar to grapefruit sold in grocery stores but can be grown in southern Georgia, outside of the traditional citrus growing areas. Data and observations indicate that Bruce™ is cold-hardy as far north as Tifton, Ga."

'The Bruce Grapefruit is a greater than 30 year old red grapefruit tree located in south Georgia that is being propagated because of its hardiness. "
