My lemon tree is dying its bark is turning white and breaking off I don't know what to do need help

Yes you lemon is in decline. So far advanced is the decline that I can not form a diagnosis. Som history of the tree would help. Looks like a very old tree.

Looks like the disease is Phytophthora foot rot. Should have been taken care of long ago before it got so serious
