Pulasan and langsats growing zone and conditions

I asked this information because I know some of you know more information about this thinking about grow it zone 9b and if you know a good place to get these trees ty ?

You would need a greenhouse. Try growing banana and lychee for 9b

Both of these fruits are considered ultra tropical. Don't think the langsat has ever been fruited anywhere in Florida? Come to think of it, maybe once inside Whitman pavillion greenhouse at Fairchilds?  The pulasan was just fruited for very first time by Paulette Johnson.

I have a langsat growing in a 20 gal pot unprotected for 7+ years. It survives but it is not happy. Whitman's trees took 18+ years to fruit.

Highly unlikely these could grow for you outside. I think they are supposed to be very difficult to grow even in zone 10.

You might want to just stick to lychee.


Langsat is supposed to have a slight grapefruit flavor, so maybe you should try planting a Duncan grapefruit (a great flavor and more cold resistant variety but also seedy).

I'm mostly trying to collect on rare fruit trees I'm mostly asking the question to see what will definitely need greenhouse for some of the things I wanted to grow

Wow that is quick, haha! I have a friend in Hawaii great growing conditions and soil and it took around 25 years!
