Selling fresh Valencia oranges (priority mail)
« on: April 27, 2021, 01:55:21 AM »
Selling medium flat rate boxes of freshly picked Valencia oranges. They are super fresh and prime, no give to them at all. Nothing like most of the store-bought crap  ;)

The box contains 10 lbs of fruit. 2-day shipping anywhere in continental US.

Selling 10 lb boxes for 30, shipping is 15

I bought Valencias from Escondido many years ago.  They were the best oranges ever!

Man, that picture of the sliced orange sure makes them look fresh and tempting. You sure you don’t do food photography on the side.

I don't think I've ever actually had valencia.  Do you juice them?  Or eat out of hand?

You can eat them slice by slice but they are hard to peel and mist out those essential oils when you ory at the skin.

Juiced they are amazing, you can also cut them into slices and bite into the side. That's a good route

Hey BonsaiBeast,

Mama got the oranges this morning. Quick. She says they are deliciously juicy! Thanks!

Valencia is the "juice orange" so basically everyone has had them.  Of course, I suppose not everyone has eaten them out of hand.  And I'm sure these are superior oranges.  SoCal oranges ("Sunkist") were the best until 99.9% of the orange groves were replaced with subdivisions.  Then the industry shifted to the Central Valley, and navels became their focus.  (I've eaten some pretty good Cal navels so far this year, especially the super-sweet Cara Caras.)  Juice oranges were grown in Florida ("Tropicana") until the industry here was decimated by pests and diseases.  Now I guess most juice oranges are grown in Brazil?
