I'm in LA and have a lemon and orange tree.   don't have the HLB disease but read an article in fruit growers mag about the Australian finger lime plant and how it's immune to HLB. 
So the question is if I graft a scion from this Australian tree on to the orange and lemon.  Will the lemon and orange become resistant to the HLB??   When you graft is it kind of like a blood transfusion where proteins from the Lime ooze into the orange and lemon making them resistant,  I hope?

Have a fuyu type and it fruits every other year.  Is there a way to make it fruit every year?  possibly by grafting another fuyu scion on to it??

we have 3 guava trees.  white turnbull, red malaysian,  tropical pink.  All are about 8ft tall.  I have been trying to graft to the largest,  white turnbull with zero success.  Interested in saving space and have all 3 on 1 trunk.  Anyone have a graft method that works?

have a 4 year old fino de jette that has not fruited yet.  It flowers, drops the flower, starts to bud and then drops off.
I was told it's self pollinating?
is that correct?

We are lucky to have 3 mature avocado trees.  One of them is budding like crazy right now but all the leaves are turning brown,  many falling off.  I don't really water or fertilize but we did have 10 inches of rain in December
Does anyone have any idea if this is a problem or have a solution?

In in LA CA near LAX and have fairly consistent climate.  I have a couple mango trees.  One in question is a 3 year old Alphonso about 5ft tall.  It's flowering in December?  several 3 inch panicles.
isn't this RATHER early?  I'm used to ruiting May thru Oct

bought some seeds solamum type.  i read some of the sweetest berries are huckleberries, NOT.  I think they are ripe but the most tart berry ever!  Is there another type that's sweet?

dumb question.  First year our tree is getting a lot of fruit.  how big do you let them get before picking?  1/2 inch,  larger?

I like mangoes.   We have 2, 6ft trees, 3 and 4 years old.  They have both flowered and some small fruit are starting.   On one of the trees the flowers are brittle and crumble when touched.   Is this normal or a possible disease.   Im sure that not all flowers become fruit but want to make sure We live in Los Angeles ca
