Wanted: Black Tumeric

Looking for a plant or even some of the black tumeric root, if you have other varieties as well please let me know!

check with forum member Lebmung. I got a nice piece from him, and from another person on Etsy. Both are growing well now.

I recommend finding a Middle Eastern Indian market for the white turmeric and save your kitchen from turning yellow hehehe

Thanks for the recommendations! I found a market who sells white but of course they were out.

Send me a box of m4s and I will send you small rhizome each of Caesia (black) turmeric and Kasturimanjal (white/cosmetic) turmeric.

Actually, it is a great trade offer. I paid more than the cost of a box o mangoes.

True black turmeric is somewhat difficult to find, and usually not cheap. Same with kasturi/cosmetic.

What is the botanical name of the black?  Many blacks are called blues and purples in different regions.
