Need suggestion for lime tree for a container.
« on: February 25, 2021, 05:18:36 PM »
Live in Z9a in southeast Georgia.  Looking for a lime tree to grow in a pot. Something common that I might be able to pick up locally would be great, if possible.  Thanks,  Ed

Yes they do. Best it's grown from seed. Virus free and start producing in 3 years.

I have a 4 foot Bearss in a 1/2 wine barrel that gives me 100 plus limes a year.

I would like to correct that I have a Bearss tree in pot for years.
Kaffir is only a branch on the Bearss.

I use Bearss leaves so tree only hold a dozen fruits each year.

Let’s see your Bearss tree Containerman?

My in-ground Bears lime gets about 100-200 fruits every 3 months (mostly from spring-fall). I just pick the fruits and give most of them away, keep maybe 2 dozen each time I pick them all. The Bearss lime seems to have much more juice than the Key Limes. I grafted a few Key Limes branches anyways for beer.
