Hana fuyu ripening season compared to fuyu!
« on: January 14, 2013, 08:42:38 PM »
Does anyone have experience with both of these varieties?   Sources online are contradictory in regards to ripening time.  One says that hana fuyu ripens in sep and oct and fuyu in late oct through nov.  Another says that hana fuyu ripens just a week earlier than fuyu.

I'd like both varieties but not if they have a very similar ripening season

Also has anyone tried Izu?

Thanks

Brad

Don't know if they can help but give this farm a call.  I used to pick persimmons there when I lived in Gainesville way back when.
