Kishu. Small but mighty in taste.

Bomand is correct, Kishu is good tasting.  Its huge drawback is that it is a very small fruit.  You will have to peel a dozen of them and eat them all at once to make it worthwhile.   I used to have a kishu tree, but finally tossed my kishu tree upon the compost pile.  My suggestion would be the Xie Shan mandarin (pronounced She Shan).   I have been to several citrus taste testing contest and Xie Shan won all of them.

Nighthawk, as you can see there are as many BEST seedless mandarins as there are people who eat them.

Tell us about citruses that you like/dislike and why, and people will give you the personalized suggestion. Best is always relative as Millet mentioned.

I have grown nearly all the COMMON seeded varieties.  For flavor I think my old Dancy is my favorite seeded mandarin tree.  Never have grown any of the newer seedless varieties.  Is it true you have to keep them separate from seeded varieties? If so how far?

Thanks
