I grow it.  I’ve never heard the name borojo repeated like you are doing.  It’s diocious.  We make a drink with the borojo.  It’s been pretty well covered in prior threads.

I had a few small trees. They died, because of neglect. Low light, high humidity preferred from what I could tell.

I know some people hav even growing it here in hawaii. Not me though...... I can’t grow the seedlings for the life of me. 🤣
The best time to plant a fruit tree was 20 years ago. The next best time to plant one is now.

A while back there was a guy in Ghana who was convinced Borojo was the key to solving hunger and malnutrition in his area. He planted hundreds, and posted updates for a few years. People eventually said it tastes pretty terrible, and his info about it having 3x the protein of beef was wrong.

I don’t really get the appeal of fruits that don’t taste good on their own, have to mix sugar and milk with it for it taste good ? Had the chance to try it in Colombia but I passed

It fruits off and on throughout the year.  The attraction is that it’s a stimulant but beyond caffeine or guarana it provides the energy source as well as the stimulation.
Many people mix milk and sugar with coffee or cacao too.

Do you know someone who would be willing to share seeds? I am searching for a friend.
