These look really interesting.  I am finding conflicting information on this fruit with some sources saying it is highly toxic.  Is this a special selection or just the wild collected variety?

Sone pangium selections such as these have very low toxicity and can be eaten freely. They taste good. West of the pacific islands in Indonesia the seem to be less palatable. The seeds of all can be prepared and eaten.

Have eaten quite a bit of pangium and some fruits are better then some good jackfruits. Beautifull tree and produce heaps of fruit if you manage to get both female and male plants so I strongly recommend to plant a few of them.

Seeds needs water leaching and roasting proccess to be edible, wouldn't try it even after that though.

Comes at a good time of the year here when some other great fruits are already finished.
Pangium definetly needs more attention!
