WTB Black Sapote, Eggfruit, and Kumquat fruits
« on: December 21, 2020, 07:12:52 PM »
Hello! I'm looking to buy Black Sapote, Eggfruit, and Kumquat fruits. Is anyone selling these right now? I know I can buy a 3lb box of black sapote on Etsy for about 50, and Eggfruit for 45, but I want to compare options. I'm located in WV, USA.

D-Grower- I would love some seeds! However, it's probably too cold in my area to ship them right now. 40's-50's.

Ya it's possible. Very cold here the next two nights. Mid 20s tonight and high 20s tomorrow. Killer for many of my best plants. It's a pack everything indoors for a few nights kinda deal.

Have the seeds in a baggie of moist soil indoors. Likely will start sprouting eventually. Already have too many tropical plants to manage. Figured give them out or trade whatever.
Trying to grow it all!

I have so many kumquats of all varieties that I cannot eat them all and they are falling off and rotting.  They are a bit overripe at this point, I don’t think they would ship well.  For me they peak around oct/nov

Well, if you think they've got a chance, I'm happy to give them a shot. I just know some seeds can be very sensitive to cold. PM me?

I'll keep that in mind for next year. If you have too many next year, I would happily pay you for some.

I got Black Sapote one week ago here in Guadalajara, Mexico, at the local market, for 1.5 USD per Kg.
I'm waiting for them to ripen.

That's awesome! I wish I lived somewhere warmer where I could get these fruits from the market. Maybe one day I will!
