decided to scratch this idea
too much work
I'm working on a system to take reservations for plants.

basically here's how it will work:

- you must be a customer who has purchased plants from me before, on at least two occasions (seeds and scions do not count).

- I will post a list of what's available, and members can request a reservation

- Only one plant per customer, unless otherwise stated

- A small discount is given to members who come to pick up plants locally

- there is no guarantee you will get the plant you've requested.  In some cases, this is because some have been recently grafted, and are not fully healed.

there are still some details I need to figure out, but I'm trying to get the system set up soon.  There should be some rare stuff available around the 2nd week of April, and I will slowly trickle out new items as the season progresses.

I will post one more update, once the rules and details of the plant reserving system have been decided.

Same for me about the emails, well it will be a month in a day or two, but I did see a post where you said you were overloaded with emails and orders.  I just assumed you were still overloaded or just taking a break from emails/orders.  If PMs are better I'll start doing that.  Thanks

If y'all have questions about stuff that aren't orders, you might try getting on Periscope and participating in some of his live broadcasts.

one of a kind jabuticabeira for sale:

on the left we have Plinia coronata var. Restinga, and on the right we have, Plinia phitrantha var. Otto Anderson.

both varieties are relatively precocious, so I'm hoping it turns out to be a good match.

The tree is still at least 5yr away from fruiting.

$65 for local pick up, or $75 +$14 if you make me ship

thanks John!

I have an even crazier cocktail tree in a 15 gal...

remember the one tree I grafted all the scions onto, that was in the ground, in the shade, underneath an oak canopy?

I grafted on phitrantha (Otto Anderson) 2 scions, truncilfora (one big old scion), aureana (2 scions), Grimal (3-4 large scions)....and I think that's all...unless I put a red jabo on there and don't remember?

I wanna take it to the sale in Manatee county so I can sell it...but i also don't want to transport the tree..it's such a liability...moving it around...you can easily snap off a scion, and decrease the value...

no way I'm shipping the tree...the pot weighs like 60 lbs!  I dug up a bunch of sand when I dug up the tree....haha...at least it won't blow over in the wind...the native sandy soil at my house is actually really good for most of the Plinia species....thank goodness!!  I couldn't handle that South FL soil!  :D

local pick up only...

firm price...$225  (if I end up taking it to the sale in Manatee, I will ask about $275)

and I'm willing to buy the tree back from you in two years for $300, if you keep it healthy, and properly pruned!  ;D

and I'm willing to graft on another scion for you when you come to pick it up...(i got paulista, and coronata var restinga, or red jaboticaba we can add to the tree)

BUT...one thing I'm not willing to do, is hold the tree (for more than a couple weeks)...it's just too much of a liability...every time I walk by to check on the tree, it's like walking on eggshells.

Well Done!

Adam,

Wondering if you are going to grow different cultivars of muscadine in your property and selling cuttings to international buyers because nobody is selling Muscadine cuttings at the moment.

I'm sure many people are interested in Muscadine.
