Hoping I would be able to get some mango ID help from some of you mango freaks.
There is a mango tree in a local collection that is much more compact than the others, the labels have been lost on this particular tree. It is in with a bunch of Asian and Indonesian trees.
-Leaves are long and thin with wavy leaf margins
-The tree does not seem to get pruned, has a stump diameter just over a foot, is about 2.4m tall but about 4m across. It has very few strongly vertical branches, has quite a horizontal growth habit.
-The fruits are small, similar in size to an NDM, but have a curved beak and already show a fair bit of blush, (the fruits on my KP will be ready in about 2-3 weeks and have are showing even less blush than these, and the NDMs around here seem to have a more pointed beak and almost no blush)
Probably a million Asian mangos similar to this but the tree seems naturally compact and the blush makes it a little more attractive.
Worth a shot asking, I'll take some more pictures as they get closer to ripening.
