Title: Bonnie Childess

Bonnie passed away this morning. Bonnie was a professional grafter for many years.  God bless his soul.

Millet, thanks for the message. Know him very well from the old forum. Asked him about the knife he used , showed me the knife and brand, got one. A real down to earth man. God will take care of him.

Bonnie Childers (note correct spelling)
Yes, Buddinman was always helpful with his knowledge, advice and budwood distribution.
I believe he lived in Lumberton, Texas. I hope his citrus collection still exists and will be preserved.

I remember Buddinman from the old forum, and I had seen many references to Bonnie Childers, but I never realized they were the same person.  Very sorry to hear.

Bonnie, Citrus Joe and I once put on a citrus grafting class here at my farm.  Another thing Bonnie & I had in common, we are both ex US Navy men. Bonnie's long time wife died a couple years ago.  Bonnie had 2 citrus varieties that he discovered and marketed BC-1 and BC-2 Mandarin.
