I was considering adding a pear tree to my yard. My conundrum is that one of my favorites (of store-bought fruit) is a Bartlett pear. but I'm in Phoenix with 300 - 450 chill hours each year, and 115-degree summers. And I don't care at all for the other pears.
Is there a low-chill pear comparable to Bartlett? I like that soft, gritty sweet taste.
