So I mentioned I would do a cold tolerance listing of a lot of species but ended up deciding that a picture is worth a thousand words so just snapped some of all the species we left outside in pots or in the ground.
First the weather it endured-
I think most people will know that a single temperature that a species can survive is a bit of a myth- good examples in here are the Dovyalis hebecarpa and Garcinia brasiliensis
Another point worth noting is that by building a basically cube of wind blocks, with the tallest trees on the north side I was able to build an area of the back yard that did not experience any frost- these are the "protected" pictures below
