I want to put in an Atemoya. Which one and why? North Palm Beach County, 30+ ft of elevation, and sugar sand. Well irrigation.

I like the taste and coloration of Lisa. I have not tried Gefner or Phet Pakchong myself. Phet Pakchong sets fruit nicely on its own from what I have read on this forum. Gefner is well liked as well.... Its a tough one for sure. For taste and uniqueness I would rank Lisa up there, but production may not be as good as the other two? However, I saw a thread from JF's yard and his Lisa was absolutely loaded with fruit.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

I'd say go for geffner...it's a great fruit, and a productive tree...and relatively easy to source.

The problem with Gefner and Lisa, to some extent, is that the quality is not consistent all throughout the season. From the same tree, Gefner fruits could be both excellent best of Atemoya and bland worse of all Annonas. Lisa also has this problem once the tree has reached a certain size/height (my guess 5-6 feet tall). African Pride also suffers this quaility irregularity. Phet Pakchong doesn't seem to have this prolbem maybe because it's a Sugar Apple backcross. But I have yet to taste a US Phet Pakchong...

Dream "cherimoya."  (But we're still waiting for a report on how good the fruit actually is.)
