how big do Jaboticabas trees grow in Florida? I recently planted a Black and a Red variety in the ground and am concern about the height of these trees and if I should move them to pots or another location..
there is a lot of conflicting info. online. some websites say that they grow to around 15ft and others about 35 feet

I have heard that they can grow 20+ feet, but they are slow growers so it would take a long time to reach that height.

For the Sabara, I have seen 12-15 feet in pots (200 - 500 gal pots) and larger in the ground.  As stated, they are in the slower side however how slow depends on care.

Biggest red I have seen in a pot is about 10 feet or so.  Dont think I have seen anything bigger in the ground but I would expect they will grow taller than that.

Sabara never gets too big for a huge pot.

Got more than a foot of new growth in a year on Sabara here in Florida.

Hopefully you have given the some room to grow, but they are a pretty slow growing tree. I have seen in pots and in the ground all over FL. Either way works, but I haven't seen many trees over 15 ft tall. The reds seem to stay shorter and squatty. Now Truncaflora I have seen very large, they seem like faster growing. But over the next 5 years I dont think you will have much to worry about growth, you can always shape and trim the trees too.

My tallest scarlet is about 11 feet tall to the tip at nearly 7 years old and is in the ground and tall and thin.
