Have to trade: Rambutan

I am sitting on a heap of Rambutan.  Consequently, I have fruit and seed available for trade

I have loquat seedlings that I can trade for some of your rambutan seeds?I am looking for lychee or longan also.I just moved to a 2 acre land and I want to get me some tropical fruit trees growing.What's an asian garden without asian fruit trees?!

I'm afraid it's too cold for lychee, longan(both ok for 9b+) and especially rambutan(which is too tropical even for south Florida, unless you have a big heated green house)in your zone, but I could be wrong. Good luck if you decide to grow them  ;)

UPDATE:  I ate all of the rambutan, feel sick and hope to never see them again.  I have a ton of seeds that I will share with anyone who wants them.  Just PM me your address and I will send a package.

I have prickly pear cactus, dragon fruit cactus, banana unknown variety, Caribbean cherry seeds "fruit is just starting so not many yet.  Would like to trade if any of these are of interest.

There are over 200 rambutans varieties around with different fruit characteristics, tree cold tolerances and suitability for different areas.In this handsome paw are a few that look similar but are very different varieties.It is good to know the variety of the seeds you plant so you can look up the variety and see what characteristics it has.

Mike - do you know of a rambutan that will survive Southern California?

PW that is a polar bear in Hawaii situation where it is pushing them too far.In Florida however I would be selecting R9,R134,R156,R162 and R 167 to have a better shot.
