hello to all the forum members,

I've decided to have a contest...this one is for the best photoshopped (or altered) picture of a tropical fruit, or fruit tree.  You can alter the fruit in any way that you want, but you must use pictures of tropical fruit...the pictures don't have to be yours, you can use anyone's picture (matter of fact if u don't have pics, you can use my pics on the forum or from my website)

this is just for fun to see who makes the best picture (I'm not going to use the photo), i will start another thread so we can vote for the winner.

to give you some ideas....I'm hoping to see stuff like a blue fleshed guanabana...or maybe a lychee tree with fruit the size of coconuts...or maybe a tree that has jaboticaba and mangoes?

you can make whatever you like, but be creative, and alter the images with some sort of program...

will be taking entries from now until,  the end of Sept 1st   (this monday)...and we will have voting soon after.

best photo wins $10 via paypal, or $20 store credit at my nursery www.flyingfoxfruits.com

in case of a tie, the prize will be split $5 each on paypal, or $10 each store credit.

good luck, let's see some crazy pics....something that would make dorgon proud!  :D

Can I just go to Ebay & steal all of Dorgon's already foto shop pictures, & he is the best scammer at the site and post it here?
I also saw watermelon in all the hue at ebay.  I think its legal since I am going over to ebay & I am shopping for photos according to your rules; it would be consider legitimate according to my PI Attorney next door! :)

If you could read dutch you would see that this is a hobby website, they put colored paper in the roses water so they drink it and get that color.

So it is not photoshopped at all, just fun for kids.

Here you can order them from the heart of the rose-nursery's of holland, we export them all over the world...And they are not photoshopped!

Yes I know about those they are beautiful but like you said created by putting parts of the stem that correspond to the petals. people selling seeds to them is a scam just like royal blue or black rose even saw green rose and that is also colouring or photoshopped. I'm also sure they saturate the colours cauz it's not usually as bright as the pics.
Also online the pods of Sherbert fruit Dialium schlechteri are often coloured bright purple when I know for a fact they are a brown colour

I still wonder if this red color is real or not. I searched the web but didn't find a nice red one like this. But it wouldn't surprise me if it was real because there are many undiscovered fruits in Asia that us whiteguys have never seen or heard of.

Also i hear rumours that red watermelons are injected with red coloring agents in Thailand or China, so the pic can be real but the fruit was altered.

Here is my entry. It isn't produced using a program or graphics, this is simply a paper towel roll standing on end with a small (5 oz) but ripe A. Squamosa sitting on top. My hand is on the counter at the base of the tube giving the appearance of a large fruit. I will call this fruit "Smoke and Mirrors apple"!

Yes Adam it does the trick. I completely fooled a fairly reputable fruit grower with this pic. I think once he saw what he perceived as a large fruit his mind gave way to the illusion. Once you see the shadow on my wrist, the illusion is lost. I let him believe it for a couple days before I had to give up the truth!

Hi Adam,
Given the nature of the holiday weekend, and the time difference for the folks on the western side of the U.S., I hope I got this submission in on time. :)

"Presenting a rare treat for all members. This fruit is nearly extinct in the wild  8) ::) I've only been able to find one tree, it's in the jungle on Babuyan island ... it's flavor is unmatched within it's genus.

Artocarpus Odoratissmus Purpurea. It's the best flavors of normal sweet Marang but with notes of Lychees, Mangosteen, and Pink Starburst. The most notable feature is the beautiful pale purple tone of the flesh and core. A delight for the eyes. In true Dorgon style, send me one month's rent and the seeds will be in the mail.  ;)  ::)"

Disclaimer: Your plant's fruit may differ. :)

Real Disclaimer: None of the above is true, aside from it being my contes submission. :)
