I definitely don't hate them. They were sweet but perhaps a little dried. My wife is a big fan! Very hard to save seeds from I didn't bother trying because I hadn't tasted them yet. I've had bad luck with this species so far. I had some seeds two years ago from trade winds but they didn't germinate (like most stuff from them it seems). I've had two plants from Logee's and managed to kill both of them. I suspect they may be very sensitive to overwatering (at least when they're young). Or maybe they just didn't like being shipped. Not certain. Thanks for allowing me to try them!
looks like I will be able to ship a couple boxes early this week....gunnar429 and cmichael258 standby.I will email you on Sunday.here is the current list:1 gunnar4292 cmichael2583 vernmented4 kimi5 Tropikat
received a nice box of red jabos yesterday. These were even better than the last batch--out of approx 60 jabos, only 2 were squished and both were still quite delicious. The flavor is excellent (especially when I don't eat lots of skins with it)...sweet a little tangy/acidity and very juicy. Some of the pulp clings to the seed, but I just put them in my pocket per Adam's advice.A box of fruit with upwards of 50 seeds for around $25 is a great deal! Thanks Adam. PS: Do you want me to save the corks and send them back at some point?
AdamI received my box on Tuesday and they were superb! The cork shaped ones were a bit dry though Thanks!Michael
Once I started eating them I couldn't stop. They only lasted a day. Everyone within zone should have at least one of these bad boys pumping out fruit a few times a year. I'm going to go step up my tree I bought from you 6 months ago and stick it in a a little saucer of water after I write this. Maybe even talk to it a little bit. Thanks Adam! A+@cmichael258, You have to peel off the clear skin on the cork shaped ones first. It is very tannic. I like mine chilled in the fridge.
Hey Adam, thought I'd check up on the Jabo's. Sorry my impatience is getting the better of me. Never had a Jabo so its difficult. Hoping they Fruit enough to make it to me before winter arrives.
