Just wondering if anyone out there was willing to trade budwood yet? It’s getting to be that time of year for trimming so I wanted to see what was open! I am in Wisconsin, I have no problem sending budwood. Make sure your state laws allow you to as well!
I have to trade:
Fukushu Kumquat
Meiwa
Lisbon lemon
Rangpur lime
Ponderosa lemon
Key lime
Limequat (Eustis)
Variegated centennial
Green Finger Lime
Oroblanco
Very very limited amount to trade of the following:
Tiger navel (variegated navel)
Australian Blood Lime (logees sells these)
Nordmann seedless
Meyer
Variegated calamonsi
Kishu
I also have dwarf pomegranate cuttings too that root super easy.

Interested in Meiwa and Fukushu, do they root from cuttings? Anything you are looking for trade wise from zone 10b?

I have meiwa rooted cuttings now, I haven’t tried Fukushu. Kumquats from rooted cuttings don’t seem to do nearly as well in my opinion, they work though and fruit around a year or earlier from rooting if it was a large cutting. Pm me if you have some stuff to trade! I’m interested in any citrus really, or anything that roots easier. Maybe some Smaller diameter avocado cuttings as I have lots of rootstock ready.

You know that the entire state of Florida is under citrus quarantine right?

Yes I didn’t realize he was in FL, didn’t look at the profile until after the fact of posting. Unfortunately, I can’t send to any quarantine states! As said in the original posting, check your state laws first!

Yeah, I find it annoying that I can't bring back trees as citrus can't leave the state without a permit. The state doesn't check, but I abide by the laws... hopefully HLB can be stopped.

don't have any experience in rooting just only grafting. mandarins, pomelo's, Jaboticaba, persimmon

I’d be interested in mandarins or the pomelos. I’ve never tried rooting the others.

Have you tried the blood lime fruit yet? This is the one that logees original sold as red finger lime and then discovered it was the (rare?) blood lime?

I tried a few fruits of the blood lime. My fruits were very small so it was hard to get a good idea of the taste, it was just ok to me. Next year it should have larger ones I hope.

I purchased 4 of these back when logees had them for $40.. now they're $100!
I have tried a few now. They're a little more potent than a finger lime. The outer rind is a deep burgundy while the inside is almost an emerald green. The vesicles are more teardrop shaped than circular.. Very appealing. I believe they are a cross of finger and calamondin if I remember correctly? The flavor certainly resembles it!

I realize now that this post is years old, but if you're still looking for citrus budwood I'd be happy to trade for some blood lime twigs to try it out. Even though I don't have a great impression of finger limes in terms of taste, I can never turn down an opportunity to try something novel.
Meanwhile, you should be grafting these and selling 'em! Don't let Logees be the only one

A few years ago Bright leaf nursery was selling a round green Australian lime. I don't see them listed on their web site anymore. I bought a 3 gallon tree at a local nursery though (don't remember which one). Never seen them since.

Is blood lime the same as Australian red center lime?

Id like hybrid seeds. Maybe 1/4 Australian lime for the disease resistance crossed with an orange or something.
