My sister, also a gardener, has .40 acre in Richmond, VA. Unfortunately the backyard is mostly mature forest. But the front yard is larger so she put her garden in there.

re: dwarf coconuts. Not sure which ones are considered "dwarf." We have 2 varieties that grow slow, are supposed to fruit when small, but eventually get tall (green Malayan and Fiji yellow). Who knows what they actually are.
