Title: Kratom tree cuttings sale/trade
Post by: D-Grower on July 13, 2019, 11:19:40 AM
Not really a fruit but very useful tree. Fresh healthy unrooted cuttings for $5 each plus shipping. Root fairly easy this time of year. Working on rooting some now myself but not yet ready.

Will trade for zone 8 hardy fruiting bushes or trees. Nut trees too. Heirloom veggie and herb seeds too maybe. Want mostly perennial hardy to my zone plants but will consider anything. Make offers!

Get you some rockwool, while you wait on buyers. You could bump up the price another few dollars because they are rooted, and still undersell these Kratom Headhunters who beleaguer the community

Yes I'm trying to root a bunch now. Still three people in line waiting on rooted cuts. Many unrooted available though.

Yes I've seen people charge $20 each on unrooted cuttings! Feel like a butthole asking $5 each myself but that's far more fair. Small rooted cuttings I've seen going for $30+ each and I sell them no more than $10 each. It's really no cost much on me why kill people with unfair prices...

Sorry, amateur questions.  Do you have these in a green house or do they tolerate the winter in your Climate?  Can they be container grown or does it need to be in ground?

They cannot handle the winter here so I keep them potted. Either in a greenhouse or inside during winter. I hear they will build better potency in ground but otherwise they do very well long term potted. When I lived in central South Florida I had some in ground that did very well.

What is the best technique youíve found for rooting the cuttings? Success rate? Heat? Iím interested, but need to know how many to get.

I donít have any plants potted up, but could trade for scion wood if youíre interested. Iíd also be happy to buy.

Kratom is exceptionally easy to root. I use rockwool, and cheap rooting hormone from walmart.
You can use straight perlite too. Clean dirt.

I'm in Texas,  and use 5 gallon pots. I've gotten them through 2 winters without losing leaves. And neglecting them to be honest

The info that previous poster mentioned is good. They aren't always hard to root but this year I did have little success. Sometimes I've had near 100% success and other times less than 20% success. Anyways I'll list when/if I have extra rooted cuttings. Unfortunately to my embarrassment I couldn't get enough rooted for all askers this season. Still 3 people in line before the person above recently asked in which yes you'll now be fourth in line.
