Yes, it does mean poisonous. But only the latex found in the tree and unripe fruit. Even so much that it is used to make arrow poison and as an insecticide. :o
The ripe fruit is edible (like breadfruit), the cultivar Parartocarpus venenosus cv. papuanus is locally cultivated in the Philippines for its edible seeds. Info gained from tropical.theferns.info .

I pruned my goji-berry in July to keep it a bit smaller and not overgrow everything :D
It seemed like a good idea to me as it was smaller for like two days... then I saw around 6 new side shoots on every limb/branch I cut  ??? The plant is now at least twice the size than before I cut it :blank:
So if I were you I would wait to cut it until it gets dormant.

Seeds of dragon fruits can take weeks to sprout, so they might come up for you :)

After I recieved about 2 week old seeds from the carribean I cracked the seed shell open (soaked them in water for 24h). I planted the seed itself, without the shell and after a few days it germinated. That was in february '15 and now I have an 18cm/7 inches tall plant which is easy to grow.
I'll add some photos tomorrow.

It is really fantastic to finally find a (from what I've read) reliable central africain seller. I love the floral undiscoverness of tropical africa. It'd be really unfortunate if so many species stay only in africa or even forever undiscovered... There should be more africain sellers I think.
I wish I would have recogniced the foresthouse page earlier. Deforestation really sucks, some species are extinct before they get discovered and I hope that when I order now there are still many differend and unknown fruits.
I'll try to contact forest house per email and hope for a complete list of available seeds. I'll keep you current after I successfully ordered.

They generally prefere a sunny position, but at lowland elevations they will mostly benefit from light shade.

I totally agree.

I've had lots of seeds that looked rodden at first view.
After peeling of the seed coat everyting looked (green and) fresh.
The thing that rods are mostly parts of the fruit flesh that hasn't been rubbed down properly.
I've never had any problem with 'rodden' seeds after removing the coats.

The seeds that I ordered arrived within 10 days. I live in Germany and the rules of import are really strict. But nevertheless the seeds arrived successsfully. They were wrapped in still wet paper towel. Everything was labled amazingly proper. Lots of seeds srouted during their journey. Beni gave me some more seeds than I ordered. I am absolutely satisfied and recommend Beni. He is very reliable and I'll order again soon. ;D



Mangifera Pajang already sprouted, as well as some others.

I would post a photo of the packet as well, but unforunately the size exceeds the limit. It's too big.

I think he already did. It is williughbea sawarakensis, but growth is pretty similar to  angustifolia

I have some 'Thai Kak Dam Dwarf' Papaya seeds. It only reaches 3- 5 feet, the fruit weight is between 1000 and 1900 grams. The seeds are harvested in march 2015, but papaya seeds stay viable for several years, I think. I germinated some in November to test the germination and now I have some tiny seedlings. I hope I could help you.

The leaves of my G. xanthochymus has pointier, less rounded leaves than the one in the pic.

I bought seeds of couroupita guianensis as well. The look fantastic, and I can soon tell you if they germinated or not, but as good as every seed I buy from him does so. Here's the ebay link:
