Recently bought my first fig Ge neri and was wondering if it could grow in heavy red clay? Like Georgia red clay.

Okay then yeah its impossible finding any species other than japonica other than actually going to the Himalayas.

Anyone have information on this plant? I'm see cold hardiness scales to 7-10, 8-10, and even 9-10.

If anyone finds a source of the seeds/plants tell me! Species other than the regular loquat are mad hard to find.

Mainly for zone 7b(8a), lately the weather has been good this year not falling below 20F at the moment. Lowest this year so far was 26F though the weather is very bipolar though.
