Is there anything different between wild dacryodes edulis and regular type?

Do you know where he got the seeds? I'm wondering if trees from a cooler area might have more cold tolerance. Thanks, D

the seeds from what I understand were collected from different areas he visited, so there is definitely gonna be some variation in the fruit quality and potentially hardiness. I read someone on here who lives in South Africa I think mentioned his marula plants were able to withstand 1 degrees celsius while still young, I would search marula on here to confirm though.

Iv had year old seedlings survive at least down to 0C (protected from frost though)
The most important thing is that the plants are in a dormant state when it's that cold imo. They are surprisingly hardy
you were the person I had saw mention that prior, glad you saw this
