Kinda like an orange vitamin c tablet in taste. They get heavily laden with fruit and enjoy warm weather. They look a bit like a bright orange apricot but the seeds are a bit big. You can eat the skin. like a dulcis.

Sorry OP don't mean to hijack this post, one last question for Mike; any ideas how long from seed to fruit?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: What is the best tasting avocado variety?
« on: October 19, 2020, 12:22:40 PM »
What's good in florida may not be good in CA and is also true the other way around when it comes to avocados in my experince. My personal favorite here is hands down Nabal.

Its outa season here but they are pretty common in these parts.

How would you describe the taste Mike? I have one pretty close to flowering/fruiting hopefully .

8
Looks like cold damage to me. Did it suddenly get cold where you keep it, any sudden drop in temp?

9
Best of luck they sure look fabulous fruits!

10
I personally prefer 'Red Rover' over others, they do get little sweeter but still have sweet sour flavor which I love , they are also noticebly bigger ..

You can tell it is 4718 from the neon yellow around the leaf.  Everyone and their mother have over hype and purchase the tree but later regret the time, energy, and money wasted.  Then you throw your fist in the air and say you got me Ong!!!!  No!!!!!!

Do you happen to have picture of 4718 leaves Mikey?

12
I have few Belmont seedlings only, sorry not grafted or rooted, they will be ready in a month or so.

Thanks everyone for help.
Agreed MikeT. I recently learned about pyriformis x lutescens as well. Know where to find the ones listed? I have candolleana already.

huertasurbanas has a sweet  uvaia (eugenia pyriformis) variety, I don't recommend getting seeds internationally right now though due to the pandemic, but maybe once mail services globally returns to normal.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: WTB Cambuca seedlings for grafting
« on: September 07, 2020, 05:02:06 PM »
I thought cambica can be grafted to sabara. Ihave couple of 3g sabaras, would love to get cambuca scions. Are you going to graft mature cambuca to those seedlings? i
Many have reported long term comparability issues with cambuca on sabara. I had many stay green for while without pushing and eventually die off.
